I originally started covering this song years ago for a David Bowie Tribute show when I still lived in Lexington KY. I didn't think this was a very obscure song, but when I've played it out live some people seem to have a hard time pinned down where it comes from.

For the other covers that I have recorded and completed so far I didn't have much trouble getting away from the original arrangements. However, for this cover of Kooks it seemed more difficult. It was a challenge to try and put my own spin on the song. I kept finding myself going back and trying the reference the original more and more.
